ANZAC Biscuits - Yum! Yum!

Space 10 made yummy ANZAC biscuits this morning. The soldiers were sent ANZAC biscuits because they lasted a long time and didn't go mouldy. Find a recipe and make some of your own. They're easy to make and delicious to eat!
MIx all the ingredients together. Great teamwork!

Press spoonfuls out onto the tray. We did wash our hands!

The cooked biscuits did smell delicious! There were enough for the whole syndicate!

Living in a Lighthouse.

How would you like to live in a lighthouse? Someone
used to live here and operate the light at the top.
They don't anymore. (Why not?)

I visited this lighthouse at Castle Point on my holiday.
Click here to find out where I found this lighthouse

Go to the Homework page to find the Wallwisher Wall to write what you did in the holidays.
Daniel and Gary have already written about their holiday.

P.M.P. in the hall has started!

PMP means Perceptual Motor Programme - each class has a turn in the hall on Mondays and Wednesdays after lunch using all this equipment. We practise our balancing, climbing, throwing and catching, moving our bodies through, under and over shapes. We need to listen carefully and work as a team too.

We love our new sandpit!

"We like to make sandcastles, dig holes and make tunnels in the new sandpit," said Toby.

"I think the slide is the best part," said Elizabeth.

Tuesday is the Bachelors' special day in the sandpit.

"We like walking around all the edges," said Charlotte

The Swimming Sports

We had our Junior Swimming Sports yesterday. Lots of parents came and we had lots of fun. The Undergrads raced with us too. We got rods for coming 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
The kickboard race. Who will win?
Our clever freestylers!
Shall we get in yet? The water feels cold!
The ball and spoon race. This was easy for some!

Today we helped fill our new sandpit with sand. We used buckets and ice cream containers. Every class in the school had a turn. Lots of parents came and helped too. We can't wait till it's finished! The grand opening is on Monday 12 March.

Stories! And more stories!

Hard at work!
Space 10 has the story writing bug! We are writing collaborative stories with a buddy using Storybird at school. Some of us have written stories at home. Click on the links to read them. If you like them please write a comment to say why. We really like reading other people's comments about our work!

We have written our own Storybird stories at home. What do you think?
Read Matthew's story.
Read Maia's story.
Read Miles' story.

Keira and Aidan creating a story.
