Alice the beekeeper visits us.

Alice came today to talk to us about keeping a bee hive.  She said that bees need us to help them survive. They are in danger because of a mite that destroys the hive.
She asked us to think of ways of how we could look after the bees.
Logan said "we could plant more flowers."
Jack said "don't pick or destroy the flowers."
Thomas L said " keep out of the bees way."
Here's a video about how bees collect honey.

Alice said that bees won't sting you if you leave them alone to do their work. We also have to teach our parents about bees. Thanks very much to Alice for sharing her knowledge with us.
There are plenty more videos to watch on YouTube about bees and honey.
(Share your knowledge about bees - Write a fact about bees or honey on the wallwisher wall. See the link opposite.)
Look at the beekeeping equipment in the photo, choose one item and write about it in the comments below. (Remember - You need to write in the box then go to Comment as - drop down box - Name/URL - and write your name.Your comment won't appear on the blog straight away. It will be emailed to me to check it first, then I will publish it for you. Mrs LS)
